New Spokesman appointed for the Atlantic RFC Terminal Advisory Group (TAG)

Luis Núñez has been appointed as the new spokesman for the Atlantic Rail Freight Corridor Terminal Advisory Group (RFC TAG).

Luis Núñez is currently the European Affairs manager for the Port of Algeciras (APBA), which is the top port of Spain in terms of total cargo load. He is also involved in several projects for improving the railway sector capacity and providing an answer to the exponential increase in traffic demand, which has been growing considerably over the past years. Traffic in Puerto de Algeciras has duplicated in the past year reaching the figure of 1000 freight trains moved.

With more than 15 years of experience in the railway and port sector, the spokesman will be carrying out this task with the help of the Group and also of the Managing Board composed of the infrastructure railway managers of each member state through which the corridor passes. The main objective is to promote the internal communication and to collaborate with other working groups to identify possible lines of action in the network, such as the incipient rail motorway projects and the transfer of knowledge between RFC terminals.
