19th Atlantic Corridor TAG-RAG Meeting

October 2020 – Telco by Teams

19th Atlantic Corridor TAG-RAG Meeting

The 19th TAG-RAG Meeting of the Atlantic Corridor took place by Teams due to the travel restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the 08th of October 2020 the Atlantic Corridor organized the 19th meeting for its Advisory Groups comprising both the Railway Undertakings and the Terminal Mangers of this corridor. Given the travel restriction imposed by several EU countries on account of the COVID-19 pandemic, the last Advisory Group (AG) meeting of 2020 was held by MS Teams. Although it might be considered a setback for preventing the usual networking between the members of the AG, it enabled a larger number of members to easily attend the meeting.

The meeting started at 9:30 CET until 12:00 CET and comprehended a presentation from the Corridor Management Board with the following agenda:

  • general information of the Management Board and introduction of the Railway Undertakings spokesperson,
  • capacity request & reserved capacity for TT2021, capacity offer for 2022 linked to TCR planned on the French Network,
  • key performances indicators 2020 (traffic from January to August),
  • presentation results of the working group (train performance management / interoperability)

After the MB presentation, DB CARGO representative explained the objective of this UIC project for the international rail freight business with different actions involving the IMs and the National Safety Authorities (NSA) of the involved countries. The later was immediately followed by a presentation by the representative of SNCF Logistics explaining the objective of 4F coalition implemented for the development of rail freight traffic in France expected for the next 10 years with the support of the French Ministry and cooperation of SNCF Réseau.

Finally, we would like to thank all who attended the event promoted by the Atlantic Corridor and provide you with the relevant information presented at the meeting please.
